New Nexus 7 given August 29 UK launch date by retailer

We were rather saddened to see the PC World/Currys chain give the new Nexus 7 a launch date of September 13, which is a time so far in the future we can’t imagine what life on Earth may be like then. However, Google’s newest tablet may just make an appearance in August, with online tech chain Ebuyer claiming it’ll have the new Android tablet ready for dispatch to buyers by August 29.

Here’s that put in writing, in case we need evidence to use against them in future:

Of course, what we still don’t know is if this tablet will appear any earlier for sale through Google’s direct Play Store shop, of if the plan is for Google and Asus to get it on sale with everyone at the same time. You can pre-order the new Nexus tab via Ebuyer here if you believe its launch date claim and want to get on the list.

I think google wants to use its exisiting stock to supply America, then will move onto Europe, so that not to repeat any of the previous terrible launches
