Here’s the thing from Motorola:
Android KitKat Comes to Moto G in the UK – Our KitKat family is expanding! When we launched Moto G to the UK market in November 2013, we committed to delivering Android, KitKat, to devices by early 2014. We’re thrilled to start delivering on that promise. Over the next week we are officially rolling out Android 4.4.2 to Moto G phones – starting today! This latest version of Android brings some cool new features, including printing emails and photos from your phone.

/ January 13, 2014I think it only downloads for phones in portrait.
Worked for my phone once I flashed US retail on it.
The only downside is I have to remember what network I’m on since my phone doesn’t display it in the status bar.

/ January 13, 2014Download “Phono” from Google Play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.infonetservice.phono
I’d actually like to get rid of the operator name from the status bar of my phone so I can go back to using it – it looks so much swishier.

/ January 13, 2014Yes, I’d like to get rid too. It’s quite distracting when my connection keeps coming and going, so it blinks on and off all the time.

/ January 13, 2014Had this update on Friday with my Tesco branded phone. My daughter has a unlocked version, but it still hasn’t got it yet.

/ January 14, 2014You probably already know this, but one of the Android engineers revealed that it only actually checks once a day. So after you first check, (when it basically draws a lottery ticket to see if you’re one of the lucky first adopters) it just pretends to be checking for updates for the next 24 hours. It’ll only draw another lottery ticket after 24 hours has passed.

/ January 14, 2014What about all the *#checkin#* business and Google services cache clearing? Isn’t that supposed to help?
