We’re not particularly au fait with the favourite imaging apps used by iOS owners, but the maker of Camera Awesome assures us its app is well used by Apple owners. And now you can get it on Android in the UK, where a £1.87 outlay gets you a completely standalone replacement photography app for your mobile.
Camera Awesome’s selling points are that it has the sort of software features found on many of the high-end Android smartphones, introducing the likes of a burst mode, composition guides, face tracking, timers and a panorama option, plus some editing tools for filtering and adapting images after shooting. There’s a list of “supported” devices on the site, which includes the Nexus 4, 5 and 7 (2013), the recent high-end Samsung Galaxy models, the HTC One and more. Get it here if you are currently hating the Nexus 5’s camera app as much as we are.
