Three cheers for Acer, which has managed to get UK mobile network Three to stock its Acer liquid E2 mobile. The phone’s rather high-spec for Acer, teaming a 1.2GHz quad-core MediaTek chipset with a 4.5″ qHD resolution display, along with stereo speakers augmented by DTS Studio Sound support.
There an 8megapixel camera around the back and an unspecified front-facing camera, plus, according to Acer’s own E2 product listing, Android 4.1 is the launch OS. Here it is:
The capacitive buttons are a bit of a shame, but apart from that it ought to be an interesting option. Three’s now got the Liquid E2 up on its Coming Soon page, where you can register to have it let you know when it goes on sale.
