“Have you ever wanted to send a message to someone in another vehicle?”

YES. OFTEN. The above is part of the description of new Android messaging app Reg1t, which claims to enable car drivers to message other vehicle owners based up their publicly available registration details. The maker says it shouldn’t be considered a private messaging system, as the communications will be publicly viewable by anyone who types in your car plate.

We have no idea how it works, but presumably only users who’ve installed the app can message each other while on the move. Here it is:

Clever idea, although we can’t imagine it being used for anything other than making threats of violence and offers of anonymous motorway service station sex. So it’s therefore a definite 10/10. Check it out on Google Play here.
