If you’re still using Samsung’s amazing, game-changing Galaxy S II as your Android phone of choice, you’re about to leap to very near the top of the OS bragging pile once again, thanks to Samsung pushing out its Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update for the phone.
The S2’s 4.1 update update has been gradually going live in parts of Europe, with MULTIPLE REPORTS now claiming that versions of the popular smartphone bought through the Vodafone network are now alerting owners that an update to “Jelly Bean” is available, through Samsung’s KIES desktop updater tool. Happy days.
Fantastic news to see what other hardware makers would consider an “old” phone still getting some great upgrade support. The fact that it’s the most popular Android model in the entire world no doubt helps a bit. Check your update notifications area NOW if you’re an S II owner on Vodafone.
Other network users, and owners of unlocked phones, keep hoping.
