That’s what’s promised when you install Android music game Stereoride. And it works as promised. Once you’ve selected an MP3 from your phone the game scans it and generates an accompanying 3D race track spinning through space, which you race along collecting things in time with music.
We likes games in which you collect things in time with music, as it reminds us of Frequency on PlayStation2. That was literally amazing. This less so, but still quite nice:

It’s smooth to use, the 1080p display is sharp, clear and bright, the device is extremely light and thin and therefore very pocketable and portable — much more so than other 5-inch phones we’ve used. And yet… we’re a bit unimpressed by the overall package…

/ February 13, 2013I can be impartial. I liked Lumines as well. And, er, there was the small matter of three years spent working on a PlayStation magazine, which was never widely reported.
