Three UK has started selling the LTE version of the Samsung Galaxy S III, branding it as an “Ultrafast” handset. What this means is it’ll run RIGHT NOW on Three’s existing and extremely swift DC-HSDPA 3G network, which offers download speeds well into double-digit Mbps numbers, plus it’ll be ready for use on the network’s future 4G masts whenever they appear for use.
There’s not a huge incentive to pick one up now, though, with this Galaxy S III appearing for “free” on monthly contracts starting at £34 a month…
…although that does include the network’s popular “All You Can Eat” mobile data option. So if you get a good Three signal you’ll be in download speed heaven – and ready for 4G when it hits later this year. Check it out here.

/ February 13, 2013The Nexus 4 also supports DC-HS whatever. I wonder if it would be worth shifting my Nexus to 3?

/ February 13, 2013I’ve seen some crazy speed results from Three users, so might be a good move if you get a decent signal in the places you hang out.
