After teasing us with news of this update for several days, Sky’s now uploaded a refreshed version of its Sky Go mobile TV viewing app to the Google Play, which, for an extra £5 a month, unlocks Sky Go Extra and the ability to download shows and films to your phone or tablet for CONSUMPTION while on the move. On trains, buses and in cars when you’re not the driver etc.
The word “selected” is used twice, though. Selected shows may be downloaded to selected Android devices, although allowing two compatible devices linked to the same Sky account to stream media simultaneously is a nice little touch.
What phone is that person at Sky is using to take these screenshots? What’s going on with those weird top-left icons? The Android Sky Go app is here, if you don’t mind giving Sky another £5 a month.
