Niche budget maker Kogan, which has a knack of making the cheapest Android tablets out there, has moved into the phone market with its Kogan Agora Smartphone. It’s a 5″ model with a 1GHz dual-core chipset, which the maker is currently accepting orders for at a ludicrously cheap price of £119.
Obviously there are a few compromises. There’s only 4GB of internal storage space, 512MB of RAM and the 5″ display won’t look great running at 480 x 800 resolution, but there’s a 5MP camera with LED flash onboard, SD card slot, 0.3MP front facing chat camera, decent 2,000mAh battery, TWO SIM card slots and…
… it looks pretty nice too, in a Galaxy S II kind of way. Kogan’s taking orders for the thing right now over on its web site, with deliveries set to begin from February 14th. Should be a good performer for that kind of money.
Having gone through the checkout process FOR A LAUGH it turns out there’s an £11 delivery fee and it ships from Hong Kong, so there may be import duties to worry about when it arrives. Just so you know.

The 7″ tablet was ok so this should be to?
Pity it is only 800×480 resolution (189ppi)

/ January 10, 2013I’ve ordered one. Should give me a few days of amusement before I stick it on eBay.
