We’ve said this before to mass derision and howls of confused protest from the youth, but there aren’t many more enjoyable games around on Android than last year’s Winter Walk, a clever little touch game illuminated by fantastic dialogue and a superb retro design approach.
Now there’s a sequel. Autumn Walk has just arrived on the Play Store, offering a more advanced form of weather battling, this time including a faithful hound assistant that hinders your relaxed gait. He runs away, he stops wakling. Don’t let the lead snap is the core concept of this game.
Autumn Walk is free, but from following the maker’s fascinating development blog we understand there are some in-app purchases in there to unlock alternate costumes and other things. We shall be buying all of them out of a sense of duty to support such awesomeness.

It’s smooth to use, the 1080p display is sharp, clear and bright, the device is extremely light and thin and therefore very pocketable and portable — much more so than other 5-inch phones we’ve used. And yet… we’re a bit unimpressed by the overall package…
