The Guardian Android app, which has always felt like little more than a slightly skinned mobile web site than an app, has been updated today. The new version 2.2 release adds in a completely refreshed interface, with the familiar Android 4.0 menu bar and icons now featured along the top, plus easier section navigation added through touching the header.
It’s a lot more modern and nicer looking all round, basically. Here’s the new look:
It’s also free, seeing as the Guardian has not yet got around to working out how to charge money for access to its content online and has just stuck some ads along the bottom of the pages.
Get it on the Play Store here.
