Despite canceling its big US Android event today, Google and LG have still taken the time to officially announce the Nexus 4, taking the wraps off this year’s Nexus branded Android phone. It is indeed the same phone we’ve seen leaked previously , offering a 1.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm S4 Pro processor behind a 1280×768 resolution 4.7″ IPS display, and running Android 4.2 from arrival.
The big thing from a tech perspective is support for wireless charging, which pops up as a bullet point on the official tech spec sheet, but LG and Google make no reference as to whether that comes as standard or via an additional add-on. LG also confirms 2GB of RAM and a 2,100mAh battery, NFC, plus dual cameras (8MP and 1.3MP).
