"Giles has completed porting our game engine to Android"

…that’s the good news coming out of extremely independent UK developer Llamasoft, which has been sticking out some pretty well regarded retro styled games on iOS and for Mac OS of late. The company’s planning to bring these games to Android, and according to this blog post, is in the process of final testing and creating some limited trial demo versions prior to release on the Play Store.

Here’s a man showing off one of the new Android Llamasoft conversions running on the Nexus 7. We believe this is Giles himself, although we’ve kind of lost track of what 1980s game developers look like nowadays.

Although if we had to choose the sort of jumper currently favoured by 1980s game developers, that’s the jumper we’d choose.

Changed my mind. The glasses look more like Giles’ ones. That’s the trouble with hippies, they all look the same.

I think we’re just going to have to hire a van and drive to Wales to sort this out once and for all.
