SEGA has rehashed another of its classic old titles, creating a new, fully 3D version of Zaxxon for today’s generation of gamers. Zaxxon Escape looks nothing like the isometric original shooter, instead shifting the action into a sort of 3D tunnel of death, which you swipe, tilt and tap your way through to survive.
It looks OK, although SEGA’s covered its Play Store screengrabs with writing, so it’s hard to get a good look at the thing. Here it is anyway:
Zaxxon Escape costs 73p to download, which is more than we’re prepared to pay for a SEGA game from the modern era without significant positive approval from several trusted peers. If you like the look of this new, pipe-based Zaxxon, it’s on the Play Store here and is a 38MB download.
