LG Optimus VU hits the UK – from £349

LG’s huge, sort-of take on Samsung’s Galaxy Note is now available in the UK, with online tech specialist Expansys selling the LG Optimus VU for £349. For that price you get a rather unique phone, offering a large 5″ display in a 4:3 aspect ratio that outputs at 768×1024 resolution, making it look rather weird and square.

Inside, the Optimus VU is powered by a quad-core Tegra 3 chipset, so it ought to have plenty of OOMPH to push around that big display. Here it is:

You also get 32GB of storage space and an 8megapixel camera. A lot of phone for the money, and proof that LG’s really, really trying to gain a few fans out there in Android Land. Buy, or just look at it in amazement, over at Expansys.
