Publisher Mobage has launched a version of Pocket Planes on Android, bringing NimbleBit’s huge iPhone smash to the Play Store for us to have a go on. It’s based around the concept of running an airline, with players shuffling passengers and cargo around the globe in return for money.
It’s a cute looking little thing that’s free to play, although there’s a hefty sign-up/sign-in process to go through before playing for the first time. We nearly gave up during that, such is our limited attention span these days.
But we stuck with it and liked it. Pocket Planes even integrates with Android’s notifications system, so you can put it down and forget about it, until the game reminds you one of your flights has arrived at its destination. Android Pocket Planes is free and on the Play Store here.
