Storage Options Scroll Pocket – 4.3" tablet for £50

Budget hardware maker Scroll has just announced a new type of Android tablet, and is shockingly going AGAINST INDUSTRY CONVENTIONS by making something smaller for a change. The Scroll Pocket is what it calls a “mini tablet,” offering Android 4.0 on a 4.3″ capacitive display.

It’s a phone that’s not a phone. Specs are a little vague, with Storage Options saying it comes with 4GB of onboard storage and SD card support, but we’re left guessing about other key stuff like processor speed and RAM.

Storage Options says the Scroll Pocket should be on sale now through its own web site and Amazon, but we can’t find a listing for it as yet.

Storage Options unveils UK’s most compact tablet

The Scroll Pocket delivers wider choice to an expanding tablet range

UK-based technology company, Storage Options, has announced an exciting new addition to its tablet PC portfolio with the creation of the micro tablet, aptly named the Scroll Pocket.

The Scroll Pocket, which only measures 113mm x 76mm x 12mm, runs on the Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) operating system offering users stunning speed in a device the size of a postcard. With a compact 4.3” capacitive multi-touch screen the Pocket is ideal for people with busy and active lifestyles.

Joining the popular and award-winning Scroll tablet line-up, the Pocket is fast, responsive and lightweight – weighing just 128 grams. It comes with 4GB internal memory, which can be expanded to 32GB with a micro SD card, and it features a mini USB port that allows users to add other peripheral devices, such as mini keyboards or speakers.

At just £49.99, the Scroll Pocket is one of the most affordable tablets on the UK market, while still offering all of the features enjoyed on more traditional sized devices. The Pocket also comes with a free 30 day trial of Defenx anti-virus software allowing its users to surf the Internet securely.

Paul Evison, head of brand for Storage Options commented: “We are always looking to try and diversify our range and the Scroll Pocket provides something different to the rest of our products. At only 4.3 inches it offers a great alternative to the more traditional sized units and for £49.99 it gives people the opportunity to own a tablet without having to break the bank. We have always said that we want to provide our customers with good quality tablets for an affordable price and I believe the Pocket offers great value for a user of any age.”

The Scroll Pocket also has a built-in multimedia centre so users can play the latest video and music content easily. So whether a user likes reading the latest eBook, gaming on-the-go or simply keeping in touch with their friends the Scroll Pocket will deliver.

The Scroll Tablet portfolio from Storage Options is the largest in the UK, with an exciting range of 9.7”, 8” and 7” tablet devices and accessories all available online.

The Scroll Pocket is available now at www.storageoptions.com, or at a number of retailers including Amazon.co.uk and Dabs.com.

I just bought on on impulse.

I have had other scrolls before then flashed with a ROM to get the market and such.

They are good tablets for the money, never had an issue before so look forward to mine arriving.

Got mine at eclipse computers in UK, £56.67 delivered.

Should be with me tomorrow :)

I have Purchased 2 of these as presents for my 2 sons and
I have been very impresses with the quality and performance of the
product.Graphics are smooth and fast, Android 4.0 is great and easy to use, Speaker is loud, case is robust, Battery lasts a long time before charges and I wouldnt hesistate to buy one for myself or an adult
as it beats my smartphone hands down, well done scroll on creating
a niche product of pocket tablet that is fun and useful for all.
