Orange's Quick Tap Wallet NFC payments app out now

Orange has released its Quick Tap Wallet app on the Play Store, with a rather limited device availability list attached to it. If it will work on your phone, the Android NFC app offers NFC support for making mini payments for things, once you’ve charged it up and filled the app’s virtual wallet with some real money from a bank account.

Presumably this is the app that Galaxy S III users can stick on their phones…

…plus it’s also showing as compatible with a couple of the newer Sony models we’ve used, so it’s hardly a wide release. Check out Orange’s NFC app on the Play Store here.

I bought a Galaxy S3 LTE in UK thinking I can also get this feature on Orange but it turns out that It’s not even available ( i thought that all variants were automatically covered) even though the normal Galaxy S3 (non-LTE) version is already out for that phone. When will Orange make this work with the LTE version of this? Does anyone know as I find this small difference rather frustrating as? I get a msg saying it’s incompatible on the android app store on my Galaxy S3 LTE.Sort this out Orange!
