The latest update to Google’s Android Maps app has thoroughly refreshed its layout and options that cover public transport, adding new layers for tubes, trains, buses and trams, plus a little toggle to select between them (below left). the result is a much cleaner and simpler way of getting yourself unlost.
Also updated are the individual pages for each station or stop, which lists nearby connections for alternate travel methods. Here it is:
There’s also a newly reworked Location History tab, plus a nice new Home screen icon. It’s a good update, this one. read more about it over on Google’s blog.
