Google has been working on providing us some sort of gift card system for its Play Store, finally letting users send shop credit to each other through a redemption system. Code found within and updated Play Store app includes a “Redeem” tag, which lets you whack in a code and receive a chunk of app-buying cash from a friend, letting users without credit cards (kids, bankrupts) buy stuff.
As well as that, the Play Store file contains a “wishlist” feature, which lets users add apps to a built-in shopping list. No doubt this is so you can tag things and keep an eye on their price, or buy them later when you’re feeling a little richer.
Although a new version of the Play Store app is out there in the public domain right now, these finds are currently hidden within the code for a future release. So they’re not ready to play with yet.
