The SIM-free phone shifters are today clamouring for your money in return for an Xperia Go, with the smaller, water resistant Android model now on sale over here. The Xperia Go offers a 3.5″ display with the always amusing “wet finger tracking” technology, a 1GHz dual-core processor and a 5MP camera inside.
Expansys is selling the Go for £199, which would seem to be about the cheapest out there right now.
The downer here is that it’ll arrive with Android 2.3 as its OS, but at least Sony’s been doing a decent job of updating its range to 4.0, so the Xperia Go should get itself an upgrade relatively soon.

Are you having a laugh?
You mean ‘but at least Sony’s been CLAIMING TO DO a decent job of updating its range to 4.0″
Check their forums, pretty much no-one in the UK has received an ICS update for their 2011 model Xperias. I doubt this new handset will get any better treatment.

/ July 20, 2012Yes, fair point, I’m still hopefully looking to see if my old Arc’s ready for an update every few days. And no it isn’t.
