Rovio has launched the latest Angry Birds spin-off today, with the all-new Angry Birds Space now available on Google’s Play Store. The game continues to see developer Rovio using the ad-supported model on Android, with the title launching for free for Google devices – while it’s a paid release on iTunes for Apple users.
Odd that there still isn’t a paid/no-ads option on Android at all. Here it is, with ads on display, which kind of ruin the ATMOSPHERE a little bit:
We said atmosphere. Because it’s in space. Angry Birds Space is on Google’s Play Store here. It’s a 22.8MB download.
UPDATE:
Rovio’s now published Angry Bird Space Premium, a paid version that removes the adverts in return for 63p. Thanks to Bry for the spot.

/ March 22, 2012There’s an ad-free version in the Amazon Appstore, which will presumably make its way to other stores once an exclusive is over.

/ March 22, 2012I turn off data connection when playing and the ads don’t pop up.

/ March 22, 2012I agree, that’s the simple way to do it.
Bry
/ March 22, 2012There is an “Angry Birds Space Premium” app on the market – 63p
In the interests of science, I’ll take the plunge and see if it removes the ads (there’s no difference in the Play Shop descriptions)…
