ARCHOS has launched another rather odd Android device – the ARCHOS 35 Smart Home Phone. It’s an Android-powered DECT cordless home phone, only with a 3.5″ touchscreen running at 272×480 resolution and based around a 1GHz Texas Instruments 3630 processor. Android 2.2 is the OS.
If you want one of these oddities, it’s now available direct from ARCHOS for £130 including the little docking station.
It even has a front-facing camera. Very odd little thing. The full tech specs of the ARCHOS 35 Smart Home Phone are available in a PDF from ARCHOS.
ARCHOS is also now direct-selling the updated Internet Tablet 2 it recently announced, offering the Android 3.2 device for £179. The tech spec sheet for that confirms it’s running on a 1.2GHz ARM cortex A8.
