The previously leaked version of HTC’s Honeycomb update for its Flyer tablet has gone live today, with HTC informing its fans that the 7″ tab should be seeing an update to Android 3.2.1 from today. This only applies to the 3G version of the device, though, with the wi-fi model’s upgrade arriving “soon.”
It is never simple, is it? Here’s HTC’s full statement on the long-delayed Honeycomb release:
Ready for some ‘sweet’ news? The GSM version of the HTC Flyer tablet, available in Europe, is beginning to receive updates to Honeycomb beginning today! Honeycomb brings a ton of improvements to Android on tablets, including the latest version of HTC Sense for Tablet with enhanced Internet browsing, Mail, Calendar and more all optimized for the 7″ screen. Not to be outdone, the WiFi version of the HTC Flyer will receive its Honeycomb update soon, too! Stay tuned for more details.
A bit late, though, to say the least, but always good to see promises being followed through.
