Motorola has finally begun to launch its Android 2.3 update for the ATRIX in Europe, with the first wave of users to see the enhancement being those connected through Vodafone Germany and unlocked users in Nordic countries. They’re getting it right now.
Motorola says this update will arrive in other European countries from “early next week” as it gradually flips the switch. In fact, here’s the full announcement:
The upgrade to Android 2.3.4 (Gingerbread) is now rolling out over-the-air for Vodafone ATRIX owners in Germany and retail ATRIX owners in the Nordics. We are rolling out in stages and other countries will begin to receive the update early next week. The update brings a number of great new features such as additional security, new and improved touchscreen and improved power management. For more information please visit: www.motorola.com/update or www.motorola.com/myatrix. You may also go to Menu > Settings > About Phone > System Update to download the upgrade over WiFi.
Great news for ATRIX fans, and great news for fans of the sexy spy photo shoot, which we can roll out for the 23rd time…
…and well done to Motorola for hitting its “mid-November” timeline for this release almost to the minute.

/ November 21, 2011Hi, i have UK T-mobile Atix which I just received unlock code for and have unlocked. Is there a 2.3 update already out that I can use?
Also does the update fix the issue with WI-FI where it keeps resetting or turning off every minute or so?
thanks
andy
