The forthcoming Sony Ericsson Xperia Ray has been added to the future line-up of Orange UK, with the network set to offer the 3.3″ Android 2.3 phone in boring old black and modern, exciting colour-of-the-future white.
There are some images of the white model up on the site, which tell us this is no mere “back cover” job – the sides and even a very small amount of the front are also white.
Which is a brave move, as we think Apple may be the only company legally allowed to make white consumer goods these days. Xperia Ray tech specs are online here, if you’re putting it on a personal shortlist. Sony Ericsson also promised gold and pink models.

/ September 11, 2011I must admit, I am pretty impressed by this phone. I may actually buy one for the missus so I can play with it …

/ September 12, 2011My only grumble (from what I have seen so far) is its lack of a physical camera button. Granted, it might not handle quite as nicely as the chunkier Neo or Mini for example, but it’s a cheap omission for a model otherwise emphasising its photographic credentials.
