The developer of Proxymate has just dropped us a line about the app, which is a location-aware messaging system designed to let you stay in touch with people while you’re driving. Setting it up is a little like using a GPS-enabled alarm clock, with the app asking you Who to message, When to do so and even Where you should be when the message is sent.
So you can automatically text the wife to put the beans on when you’re two minutes away from home. That sort of thing.
Sounds like a great idea. Proxymate is free and in the Android market here. It’s new and untested, so there’s no user feedback as yet. You could literally be the first actual customer to give it a go.

/ September 26, 2011Whilst Tasker may do more (complicated tasks), Proxymate is free, incredibly simple to use and uses accurate road based route finding rather than simple radius proximities.
