Vodafone is now taking orders for the Xperia Arc S, with the updated Android phone available on new monthly contracts starting from £26 per month along with a £99 upfront fee. If you would like an Arc S for what is commonly referred to as “free” by the mobile industry, the lowest tariff leaps up to £31 per month.
So if you like the skinny 4.2″ Android phone and would like a newer one with an upgraded 1.4GHz processor and the Android 2.3.4 software update that includes 3D image compositing…
…here it is. The Vodafone £31 tariff comes with 600 minutes of calling time, but we suspect you lot are all still working out the best way of getting a Galaxy S II.

/ September 30, 2011I might be interested in this, but as you say, it’s difficult to weigh any phone up against the SII at the moment.
Done’t suppose you could do a review…?

/ September 30, 2011The “old” Arc is my everyday phone. It’s great. Seeing as this one’s not really hugely different, it ought to be pretty sweet.

/ September 30, 2011Well, I for one is quite fond of SE’s UI on top of Android.
While the X10 wasn’t the performer most of us hoped for, it tought us the virtues of SE’s UX. :)
