Archos has issued a clarification on the status of its two G9 Android 3.2 tablets, which were both originally planned to feature 1.5GHz dual-core processors. As we saw earlier this week, a scaled-down 1GHz version of the 8″ G9 has just gone on sale, with a 1.2GHz “turbo” update coming later.
And the planned 1.5GHz option? Due to “delays” from Texas Instruments in pushing out its higher-speed OMAP processors, you won’t be seeing that until 2012…
…although the 1.2GHz “turbo” versions of the Archos 80 and 101 are on schedule for the “end of October”. Read the full clarification over on the Archos Facebook page.

/ September 22, 2011Only 512mb of ram and skimped on the processor. It wouldn’t seem so bad if Archos hadn’t strung us along.
Oh when will a good smaller (7-8″) tablet come out?
