Facebook for Android now up to v1.7

And so the gradual adding of features to the Android Facebook app continues, with the social network releasing version 1.7 on the Android Market. As well as “improving” the sharing tool and adding the ability to tag friends in photos from your phone, the app now includes a “Pull to Refresh” option, which is always a fun way to mess around with your social app timelines.

Facebook also says the design of the Profiles and Groups pages have been updated. Here’s a generic image, as my phone is about 20 yards away and not charged:

android facebook 17

One day, in the very distant future, this app will be finished. Amazing to see its Android Market listing saying Android Facebook has been installed “50,000,00 – 100,000,000″ times.

Cannot see how the profiles have changed, you still cant like a comment… unless you click on “comments” via the news feed.

app is a lot better for me after this – the notifications actually work. and the quicklink from the notification to actually seeing the messages works ok now too.

it does baffle me how this app is severely underdeveloped and undernourished.

im sure that facebook will release a phone of their own at some point soon, hence the crappy development….not just a half-assed job with a facebook button but a full “Facebook Phone” or “Facephone” or “Facebook 1″ or something…
