Motorola has just updated us for about the fifty-hundred-millionth time on the status of the long-awaited official 3.1 update for its Honeycomb tablet, announcing that the upgrade is now DEFINITELY DEFINITELY available for XOOM users in nine European territories.
Here’s the very latest on XOOMGATE:
Motorola XOOM Wi-Fi owners in the following countries can now update to Android 3.1: UK, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Netherlands, Spain, Austria, Switzerland, Italy. To manually update your device go to: Apps -> Settings -> About Tablet -> System Updates
If this news seems oddly familiar, it’s because Motorola said much the same thing yesterday, only without the above list of confirmed countries. Do let us know if you have a XOOM and are seeing the update. Don’t use your real name, else you’ll get laughed at by the Eee Transformer mafia that runs this town.
