Huawei is the latest company to attempt a novelty 3D smartphone, with its Huawei Vision – a new Android phone with a “3D” interface. The Vision runs Android 2.3 on a 3.7″ capacitive screen and is powered by a 1GHz Qualcomm MSM8255 processor. The 3D component is a standalone “3D carousel” which sounds like it’s been seriously influenced by LG’s Optimus 3D – although the phone itself doesn’t come with an actual 3D display. It just looks like 3D.
The maker claims the Vision’s “aluminium uni-body” case makes it its “sexiest” smartphone yet. You can be the judge of that right here and right now. It’s quite sexy, but we wouldn’t get ourselves in trouble over it:
HTC might have something to say about that back design. Inside, you get a 5megapixel camera with 720p recording abilities and LED flash, 802.11n wi-fi support. The vision is launching in September in “selected markets”. Hopefully we’re in one of those. Here’s the press release:

Huawei Vision has a complete 3D mobile phone interface that bundles handset features into 3D panels on the home screen. The interface allows you to select any panel of the home screen with one easy swipe and makes it easy to prioritize the application view to suit your needs. With Vision’s 3D interface, you can explore features and programs with a single tap.
Huawei Vision will be available in selected markets from September. Vision offers access to the full range of Android apps, and comes pre-installedi with Angry Birds, Asphalt 6: Adrenaline, Order & Chaos Online, and Guerrilla Bob HD.
