BEST DEALS: HTC Flyer down to £329 at Best Buy

This is one of those deals that’s so CRAZY INSANE it could possibly be some sort of innocent mix-up, but you never know. The UK version of Best Buy is currently selling the HTC Flyer tablet for a super-discount £329, which is massively lower than the more usual £479-odd the tablet usually sells for.

It’s the cheaper wi-fi only version, but still. Definitely a big lump off the official RRP, here:

So if you’ve been waiting to see how “magic” the “magic pen” actually is, here’s your chance. Thanks to a reader that appears to be called “Tafka Wac” for the tip.

  2. What’s Android 2.4, Best Buy? ;)

    Android 2.4!

As for price cuts maybe companies are learning from HP touchpad and realising the market is massive at lower prices and so are reducing margin slightly for a massive volume increase.

2.4 is HTC speak for “If you buy this you might get an update to the latest version of android. But then again you might not. And if we do it might be buggy. Or we won’t bother. And we’ll keep you hanging on forever. And send out misleading tweets…”

When is the Flyer gonna get Honeycomb?

Excuse me, I might be missing the point of your reply, but what do you mean?

They Flyer doesn’t have Honeycomb yet – does it?

I think the “This” addendum is a modern take on the “me too” – as in, the respondent would also like to be made aware of the information.

Here’s hoping we’re in for another evening of hardcore grammar discussion.

            Thanks Gary. That makes sense.
I can’t keep up with all this modern language. I’ve only just mastered the smiley. :-(

It’s a lot cheaper and COULD be a great bargain if HTC update it to Honeycomb. If not, skip it and go for the viewpad 7x

So a bit of a punt really :)
