The new LG Optimus Net seems to being pitched as an upgrade of the popular Optimus One, although there’s not a huge amount of difference inside, just a boost to an 800MHz Qualcomm processor – the MSM 7227T. The screen is a 3.2″ capacitive model running at 320×480, plus there’s a 3megapixel camera capable of VGA resolution video.
What you do get is software updates, with the Optimus Net arriving with Android 2.3.3 onboard and LG’s 2.0 user interface tweaks. It’s also DivX certified and features DLNA support, which are always useful.
This news comes via our chums at AndroidWorld.it again, while a quick search of YouTube reveals this enthusiastic demo video also in Italian – and a €199 price tag for an unsubsidised model.
