Niche UK hobbyist publisher Imagine is about to launch an entirely Android based physical magazine, with its “Android Magazine” scheduled to hit news stands on July 28. The mag will offer all the usual specialist features, including hardware reviews, apps, news and troubleshooting stuff.
There will also be a “dedicated hacking section” which will cause them no end of troubles when they start encouraging amateurs to flash ROMs and suchlike. Here’s the cover of the first issue:
The magazine will also be launching its own web site. Which is quite annoying. Hopefully it’ll be rubbish. Link via POB’s Twitter.

/ July 22, 2011Hoorah! It’s been quite depressing going in to a news agents to see magazine after magazine about the iPhone & iPad. So, it’s good to see Android finally being catered for.

/ July 22, 2011Are any of them any good, though? Surely they’re mostly full of mainstream “how to” guides and reviews of apps that are two months out of date?

/ July 22, 2011Well that’s going to be out of date before it hits the newsagents.
I’ll stick to getting my news about Android from here, thanks..
