Analyst ComScore has released yet more data about the breakdown of today’s smartphone scene, revealing that 42% of all mobile phones in use within the UK were smartphones as of May of this year.

Apple is in the lead, though, according to the analyst, with a 27.1% share of the smart market, followed by Android on 26.7% and Symbian devices back on 22.5%. Here’s a chart confirming that and revealing a shocking 32% DROP for Microsoft:

Interesting I would have guessed Android would have been higher. I know 4x as many Android owners than iOS owners. but then I work in the tech sector.

I know a couple of people who are actually changing from an iPhone to an android phone. Actually they’ve both gone for the Samsung Galaxy S2, I wonder why…

    • Frankly, I’d rather have a HTC over a Samsung any day of the week. And I’d probably have any recent Android over an iPhone.
