The Tour de France 2011 has an official Android game

We hope you’re not expecting too much. Le Tour de France 2011 The Official Game is the name of the… er… official game of the Tour de France 2011, offering a weird 2D, sideways scrolling take on managing your bicycle racing team.

The Android Market description claims it features “powerful and accurate AI” that means your experience is “just like the actual race!”. Which could be believable, until you see it in action:

We’re not going to take a risk on downloading it. It’s on the Market for €2.39 if you’re in the bit of the Venn diagram where cycling/Android/games meet.

I like the permissions list :

    change screen orientation
Allows an application to change the rotation of the screen at any time. Should never be needed for normal applications.

The only device it’ll let me install it to is my HTC Hero. And there’s no way I’m chucking a 36 meg app on that thing. Would’ve actually taken a punt on this one too.
