…there’s also a £99 upfront fee for the phone itself, but that wouldn’t all fit in the headline space. Mobiles.co.uk is doing this excellent 12-month Galaxy S II package (scroll down a bit), which includes 400 talk minutes, 1000 SMS messages and a very useful 1GB of mobile data.
You’ll be connected via a Talkmobile SIM, a network which, we seem to remember, uses the Vodafone network infrastructure.
Someone will pop up in the comments saying you can get an extra £30 refunded to you if you use the Quidco cashback programme, too. We’ve still not bothered signing up for that, though, as we’re trying to cut down on luxury consumer goods purchases.

/ July 9, 2011Best I found was 300m silly texts 500MB data on a 24 month O2 contract via dialaphone.
27 quid a month no upfront fee.
You have to cancel the extra crap they insist on adding but that wasn’t too traumatic.

/ July 9, 2011Just bought this, and getting tracking updates from them already. The phone will be unlocked, so easy to get back onto Giffgaff after the 12 month contract finishes. Considering that the handset is £470ish, a 12 month deal for £459 is a no-brainer. Thanks for pointing this out.

/ July 9, 2011There’s the same deal for the Sensation as well. These two really are neck and neck, but I think the better camera and the internal memory just edge me towards the S2

/ July 11, 2011Well I’m still waiting for the NFC version of S II is comming to Europe.
But maybe the “Nexus Prime” will come before that. :-(
