Orange UK has just put the Orange Barcelona Android phone up for sale on its web shop, with the new QWERTY mobile on offer for the same launch price as the excellent Orange San Francisco – £99.
In return for that you get a Huawei-made QWERTY phone running Android 2.2 on a 2.6″ screen, plus, quite a rarity in this age, the return of the physical joystick to aid text entry and navigation.
As well as the £99 asking price you’ll have to stick £10 of calling credit into your basket at checkout. So it’s really going to cost you £109.99, before you complain we’ve been deliberately misleading you all. Check it out here.
I’ve just bought one, for a laugh.

/ July 5, 2011Probably not. My order was declined because Orange can’t post it to my address. Its system then suggested I provide another address, as if I might like to move house in order to buy a bloody telephone.
I therefore have no option but to assume it’s a rubbish phone and give it 3/10.
