It looks like today’s the day that Vodafone’s exclusive on the HTC Sensation ends, with a variety of retailers now packing up the new Android phone and sending it out. Online retailer Clove is doing an unlocked Sensation for £498 , or if you’d rather get one on a contract, Three UK is sending out its pre-orders with prices starting at £30 per month on contracts – or £449 on PAYG.
Amazon still has the Sensation listed with a June 29 release date and a price tag of £464.99 through one of its third-party partners. It’s about to be everywhere…
…but we’re still not decided on if we’d rather have the sensible Sensation or the insanely fast Galaxy S II, so will opt for neither to avoid 24 months of inner turmoil.
If you need a refresher on the Sensation, our three-part epic review of the mobile can be found here.

/ June 22, 2011Hang on, didn’t you get a Galaxy SII on O2 PAYG?
Gary C
/ June 22, 2011Yep. But I returned it. Should’ve sold it for a quick profit instead :(

/ June 23, 2011So if you returned the SGS2 and you don’t have the Sensation what phone do you currently use day-today? Do you own a mobile at all? :D

/ June 23, 2011Still on the HTC Desire. Through choice. Nothing else fits the hand and feels as… comfortable. Everything else is either too big, too plasticky, too curved, too rubbery and so on.
The Xperia Arc is the only one I felt I could happily switch to and live with 24/7.

/ June 24, 2011So what’s stopping you from making the move to Sony Xperia Arc? It’s reasonably priced and very well made.
Gary C
/ June 24, 2011Just the boring reality that my Desire is perfect for what I need. However, I think there might be an Arc with my name on it in the postal system at the moment, so there may be an official switchover in the near future.
