I was tempted by one of those, too. Like buying an old E-Type or something.

The specs are great for the price IMO. Only the RAM is less than optimum but still adequate.

Doesn’t look like there is any way to actually add it to your basket though? Any ideas or does that mean it’s sold out?

I had to use Safari on the Mac to get the add to basket button, as it didn’t work in Chrome. Then I chickened out. All I want is to not have to worry about storage space constantly running out on my Desire. A keyboard used to matter to me, but not any more. Argh.

Not enough memory on the Desire Z ?? 1.5GB it says. I use to have a Desire. That didn’t have enough, but 1.5GB is enough for those apps that won’t go on SD card. I have a DHD , and have bought one of these Zs for my wife. Surely enough room for cookery apps ??

i think its more to do with clearing unsold stock, they will probaly make a loss at these prices (but have already made a profit from the ones theyve managed to sell offsetting the loss there making)

I ordered a HTC Desire at 12:40 yesterday. They cancelled the order claiming out of stock last night. Didn’t even apologize. Poor effort from Carphone Warehouse.

Odd, it’s still showing as in stock… I ordered at 17:30 and had neither a cancellation nor an approval yet. Assuming you mean 12:40 in the afternoon though, looks like I’ll be sticking with my Wildfire!

Mine’s apparently just been dispatched so needn’t have given up hope! They’re still showing as in stock although the picture is missing from the clearance page (not even showing as sold out anymore, just gone).

    • Sony Xperia Z2 review

This is Sony’s latest go at producing a high-spec Android flagship model, with the Xperia Z2 ticking every one of 2014’s must-have tech bullet points. It has a large 5.2-inch 1080p display. It has the hot new Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 chipset inside. It has a massive 3GB of RAM and 16GB of onboard storage. It’s […]
