This incredible looking pair of images have just appeared on some European bits of the internet, with sources claiming it’s an as-yet unannounced Cyber-shot branded Android phone from Sony Ericsson.
It clearly takes its design inspiration from the sensational Xperia Arc , copying the slimline Android phone’s curved body – only sticking in a 16megapixel Exmor R sensor and squaring off the top a little.
Will you look at that. We would very, very much like to have one of these regardless of what Sony brand has been stencilled on the case to help sell it to certain buyer demographics.
These pics come from German tech site ComputerBase. We have never encountered it before, so have no reason to suspect they are fakes.
UPDATE:
Sadly they are pretend renders created by a clever man as reported here :(

/ May 26, 2011Hmmm, it would be nice with a CyberShot Android.
It’s not like the market is crowded with worthwhile Android phones when it comes to camera abilities.

/ October 9, 2011I have been waiting and waiting for Sony to release a phone which would give me the brilliant camera of my C905 (which I still use because no phone has come out which betters it!) and combine it with touchscreen and Android. My ideal would be a handset like the new Mini Pro with an 8-10MP camera with xenon flash and sliding lens cover. The Altek leo never materialised and I don’t want a big phone which I can’t take out on a night out, runs out of juice quickly and which could easily get smashed. The Satio was tempting but I didn’t like the clunky UI. So yes I would LOVE these rumours to be true – and soon because I really need a new phone!!!!!
