There’s a new version of Google Maps up on the Android Market right now, with the 5.5 update bringing in many more options to play with for people who like “checking in” when they get to places. It’s for people who go places.
It’s all a bit beyond me as I just sit inside going mad and angry, so here’s what Google says is new:
We’ve made it easier to check in and out of places, rate various locations, and get transit information with Google Maps 5.5 for Android. This release adds ‘check in’ and ‘rate and review’ buttons to Place pages, the option to edit your home/work address for Latitude, and redesigned transit station pages.
