We were expecting the Samsung Galaxy S II to cost THE EARTH when it arrives on the SIM-free retailers on May 1st, but the damage looks like it won’t actually be that bad.
Samsung has reduced the “cost price” it asks the shops to pay for the handset, resulting in retailers being able to sell it on to the likes of us for less. One such shop is Unlocked Mobiles…
…which will do you one for £497.98 plus £5.99 for delivery. Still a rather painful amount to authorise in one go, but nothing like the £600 we were expecting when the huge Android phone was announced back at MWC.
