After shaking things up in the contract world with its properly unlimited data plan for monthly contracts, Three UK is now trying to do the same in the PAYG market.
Today it’s launching an unlimited data plan for casual pay monthly users, which will give them what Three claims to be a genuinely unlimited mobile data allowance for £15 per month. Here’s how that claim manifests itself:
“All-you-can-eat data is now available on our All in One 15 and All in One 25 Add-ons which you can buy for £15 or £25. The Add-ons will last for 30 days as they always have done, but in that time you can now use as much data as you like on your phone. You’ll obviously still get the same huge allowance of calls & texts too”
By “eat” they mean “use”. No one’s suggesting you might actually be able to “eat” data.
Which means it might be worth picking up a spare SIM just for tethering purposes. Read about it on the Three Blog. Or sign up over on Three’s PAYG add-ons site.

/ March 7, 2011Just phoned 3 and apparently It’s about 80GB, yes 80, worth of data you will get for your £15 or £25 top ups. I’m definitely switching tariffs..
