We’ve been running a little poll in the right-hand column of the site for a few weeks, asking you all to vote on which of the new Android phones announced over the last couple of months you’re excited about the most.
The clear winner was the Samsung Galaxy S II, which has taken a whopping 38% of the votes. Second was the HTC Desire S on a little under 13%.
Samsung Galaxy S II it is, then. In an ideal world. Where money is no object. Thanks to everyone for voting. We didn’t even have to force you.
It’s smooth to use, the 1080p display is sharp, clear and bright, the device is extremely light and thin and therefore very pocketable and portable — much more so than other 5-inch phones we’ve used. And yet… we’re a bit unimpressed by the overall package…

LG’s updated Prada phone comes with an absolutely crazy black & white theme, but is it just for fashionable suit wearers who want to make themselves look a bit more interesting?

/ March 7, 2011Umm, in an ideal world Samsung would pull their finger out, ship a fixed and patched and properly working Gingerbread to my Galaxy S, thus completely obliterating the need for this utterly unnecessary S II. This must be the biggest hardware non-upgrade in recent history.
