Mozilla has this evening uploaded a new version of its Android Firefox 4 web browser to the Android Market and, as with the desktop release, this is now the final-final “release candidate” version.
As in, it’s done. Here’s Mozilla’s summary of why you might like to give it a go:
This release offers faster scrolling, better responsiveness with Firefox Sync and improves the overall user experience of Firefox. Firefox 4 for Android and Maemo brings the performance and customization of Firefox to mobile devices with features like Firefox Sync, Awesome Screen, tabbed browsing and Firefox Add-ons, to create a personalized and effortless mobile browsing experience.
Give it a go by installing it via the Android Market if you’re of the opinion that a different kind of browser might make your life better.
Those are the screenshots supplied by Mozilla. It’s a bit late in the day for taking our own. According to Moz’s Supported Devices page, you’ll need an Android version starting with a 2 and 17MB of spare RAM. And it will go on the SD card.
