Oof, that’s a big number. Carphone Warehouse, which has an exclusive on the 3G-enhanced version of the Motorola XOOM Android 3.0 tablet, has put up a price for the thing – and would like £599 from you in return for one, please.
That price is for an unlocked, SIM-free XOOM and the company is including a “free” charging dock as part of the “deal”. Launch date is still a bit vague, with “early April” the current estimation.
CPW is not currently offering any discounted network SIM package options, which is a little odd. Maybe they’re still crunching the numbers?

/ March 3, 2011Ok, does it really need to be said? How much money for what? A low spec pc / laptop is not worth that money, and i’m sorry that is what these tablets are. Realistly, I thought only apple fanbois bought things tha twere so overpriced, but obviously android is heading the same way. Give me a call when the sub 300 tablets are released

/ March 4, 2011But it is cheaper than the most expensive Ipad and a 32 Gig card to increase capacity is an extra fifty. Stop complaining about price and realise that in the UK it can’t be helped and it is competitive with the Ipad.

/ March 4, 2011PS I do however agree with Bob that as a general rule all prices should come down. More annoyed by the article.
