Android 2.2 for Samsung Galaxy Apollo and Galaxy Europa confirmed

The person in charge of the official Samsung Mobile Romanian Facebook account has confirmed rumours that two of the company’s older Android phones are soon to get their OS updated to the 2.2 “FroYo” release.

Both the Galaxy Europa (i5500) and Galaxy Apollo (i5800) are on the list, with the Romanian social site claiming these two updates will launch before the end of March.

How did you get this. I downloaded KIEs (and it looks totally different to the video guides) and it wont ID an upgrade. I also searched the Samsung site for “Android 2.2 upgrades Galaxy Apollo” and all it comes up with is upgrades for the Galaxy S.
    Any help would be appreciated.
